Indications
- Suction Catheter-Closed System is used to maintain ventilation and oxygen therapy while suctioning in mechanically ventilated patients. This catheter is a part of ventilator circuit with no need to disconnect the ventilator. It reduces the risk for contamination from outside pathogens and minimizes the risk of Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP).
